Our Team

A team of dedicated professionals are available to assist our clients and their pets. Our client service representatives will offer any information you may need prior to your arrival via telephone and greet you to begin your visit. Once checked in, our technicians & veterinary assistants will collaborate with your veterinarian and oversee all aspects of your pet's care. They will be sure you understand all recommendations made & are comfortable with any medications that may have been prescribed at the visit before you go home.

Client Service Representative: Mary Kay

Mary Kay joined the SVH team in September 2018 as a CSR and has had past experience working in both human and veterinary medicine. Mary Kay graduated from Robert Morris University with an Associates Degree in Business Administration.She has been breeding and showing Bull Terriers for the past 12 years, from which she has developed friendships with her fellow breeders and co-owners. Mary Kay and her husband Dave have 2 Bull Terriers, Erma and her daughter Rizzo. Mary Kay enjoys spending time attending dog shows,breeding and hiking with her dogs.

Client Service Representative:  Eric

Eric joined the SVH team in December 2020 to continue a lifelong passion for animal welfare. He was a volunteer and community coordinator at Altered Tails, (a TNR organization) and then as an adoption counselor and volunteer coordinator for the Arizona Animal Welfare League, the oldest no-kill shelter in the state.

Eric relocated to Pittsburgh in 2014 and continued his humane interests by working for Animal Friends in various capacities. First, as an adoption counselor, then as a member of the development team, and finally as Pets for Vets Coordinator- adopting animals to Veterans with symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression. Outside of work Eric loves the company of his extended Pittsburgh family and special needs dog, Shaina Lu Lu. There hasn’t been a day in his life without animals.

At Sewickley Veterinary Hospital - it is clear from the start, how much spirit and passion is provided to each and every client and their pets every day.

Certified Veterinary Technician (Manager): Haley

Haley is a Certified Veterinary Technician that joined our team in September of 2018 and serves as our managing technician. She obtained her A.A.S in Veterinary Technology in western New York. Growing up showing Quarter Horses, she envisioned a career as an Equine Technician. However, plans changed and she found herself moving to Pittsburgh in January of 2015 to seek her first technician position. Haley accepted a position in High-Volume Spay and Neuter at Animal Friends before seeking a change of pace. Watching the new puppies and kittens grow up is her favorite part of being a Sewickley Veterinary Hospital team member. She has two cats of her own, Tulip and Maddox, who are both rescues from Animal Friends. When Haley is not at work, she is often found playing volleyball or reading a good book.

Veterinary Technician: Anna

Anna joined the SVH team in January 2019. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2012. She has previous work experience at PVSEC as an Emergency and Critical Care Technician and at Animal Friends as a technician in their High-Volume Spay and Neuter program. Growing up, animals were always a passion of hers. Anna has 2 pets of her own at this time, Petrie and Spike who were both cats rescued from Animal Friends. Anna’s hobbies include finding new places to explore, kayaking, and traveling. Anna is so proud to be part of such a great team!

Certified Veterinary Technician: Sondra

Sondra joined the SVH team in February 2019. She graduated from Clarion University with a BS in May 2000. She realized that her passion was for animals and went back for her Veterinary Technology degree. She graduated as valedictorian of her class in October of 2006 and gained her CVT license in March of 2007. She has previous experience at PVSEC and AVETS where she gained knowledge about ophthalmology and emergency medicine. She has a passion for venipuncture, anesthesia, fear free, and end of life care. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, dog Odin, cats Sunflower, Pickle, and Freyja. Sondra enjoys kick boxing and being outdoors. She is happy to finally feel part of a team with her wonderful new coworkers.

Veterinary Assistant: Alea

Alea has been with the SVH team since 2017. Her passion has always been working with animals since she was a little girl. After high school she attended Sanford Brown for veterinary technology and graduated in 2012. Alea is a mother to a beautiful 3 year-old boy who has been her biggest motivation. She has a cat named Connor who was rescued from Animal Friends in 2018. Connor has been a perfect companion for her son. Alea looks forward to growing with the SVH team.

Veterinary Assistant: Cloe

Cloe joined SVH team in January 2019. She graduated from Animal Behavior College in October 2018. She previously volunteered at the Beaver County Humane Society, and has fostered many kittens and cats. Growing up she always wanted to dedicate her life to helping animals any way that she could, which is why she decided to go back to school for Veterinary Assisting. Her favorite part of working at SVH is being able to bring comfort to our patients and owners. Cloe has two dogs, Bentley and Onyx. One cat, Nellie. Two Axolotls, Lottie and Axle, as well as a few fish and frogs and she loves all of them more than anything. Cloe loves her job as a Veterinary Assistant at SVH. Cloe has learned so much already and is grateful to work with such a dedicated, hardworking team. Cloe is excited to have a career she truly loves and is grateful for. She looks forward to continue working and learning here at Sewickley Veterinary Hospital.

Veterinary Assistant: Carlee Gini

Carlee graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Beaver County Career and Technology Center where she obtained her NAVTA Approved Veterinary Assistant designation in 2018. She has always had a love for animals, and has known since she was little that she wanted to make a career out of helping animals. Carlee also volunteered at the Beaver County Humane Society throughout high school.

She has a cat named Mufasa, who she fostered from the humane society and ended up adopting in 2017. Carlee's favorite thing about working at SVH is watching the patients grow and getting to know the clients. In her off time she enjoys camping, going to the gym, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband, Thomas.

Carlee says she absolutely loves working at SVH, and that she has already learned so much in the short time she has been a part of this amazing team.
